Mucuna Pruriens Seed Extract Tincture

About Mucuna Pruriens
Mucuna pruriens is a climbing legume native to tropical Africa and Asia, grown for centuries in India where it is known as kapikachhu or atmagupta. The plant is unmistakable in flower, with deep violet blooms hanging in long clusters, and the pods are covered in fine hairs that give the plant its common English name, velvet bean.
It is the seed that is prepared, not the leaf or the pod. Mucuna seed is one of the very few botanicals that contains L-Dopa in meaningful quantity, and that is the compound the plant is valued for. It has a long history of traditional use in Ayurvedic practice.

Suggested Use
